Marijuana Toxicity

Marijuana (THC) toxicity is no laughing matter for pets.
Many pets may accidentally come into contact with Marijuana. This can happen from them eating edibles, eating plant material or second hand exposure to marijuana smoke.
Signs of Marijuana poisoning can be:
  • Lethargy
  • Head Bobbing or Weaving
  • Lack of Balance
  • Aggression
  • Difficulty Swallowing
  • Anorexia
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Lowered Blood Pressure
  • Lowered Temperature
  • Seizures
For those reasons seeking immediate treatment is recommended!
Remember, your veterinarian staff does not care that you,  or someone you know have Marijuana. Above all their only concern is getting your pet better! Attempting to lie or hide the possibility of marijuana exposure is only harmful to your pet. Most importantly it makes getting a proper diagnosis more difficult and potentially more expensive.
